HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR at the Gridley Library May 1 at 1:30 and 7:00
April 23, 2012
On May 1 at 1:30 and 7:00, the Gridley Library will have Magda Brown give a program telling about her experiences as a Jew in Nazi occupied Hungary. She was deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, then sent to work at an ammunition factory. She was part of a 3 week death march when the Allied troops liberated them. Everyone is invited to come and hear her amazing story. If you have any questions, please call the Library at 747-2284.

I am so sorry I did not know of the presentation in your library of Magda Brown. I have just finished the book Between Shades of Gray, which has sparked a deep interest in similar lifechanging exeriences. Will there perhaps be a repeat of Ms. Brown’s program in Gridley or somewhere nearby? I live in Normal, but I would drive to listen to this program.
Thank you for your response.
