Lee Cargill, Retired Navy Captain, Will Speak at the Gridley Library

On October 11 at 7:00 p.m. Lee Cargill will speak at the Gridley Public Library sharing his experiences in the Navy during the Vietnam War and referencing his new book, “Survival Uncertain.”
Lee Cargill, Captain US Navy (Ret.), was a Navy carrier pilot, graduated from the Naval Test Pilot School and Naval War College, and commanded a Navy A-7E Attack Squadron aboard USS Coral Sea (CV-43). He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in Vietnam.
Cargill’s book chronicles the riveting true stories of what happened to eight friends from the US Naval Academy, Class of 1963, Sixteenth Company, following their graduation and commissioning on June 5, 1963.
