The RSAcat mobile app is down. We expect that most functions of the app will not be available for the foreseeable future.
We know that the app is valued by many of our member library’s patrons and that the loss of its functions will be frustrating to many. RSA can only apologize for the inconvenience caused by this situation.
Unfortunately, there is not another app that can be used in its place at this time. The developer is working on a new app to replace the functions of the existing app and we are told that this should be ready early in 2024.
Whilst we wait for the launch of the replacement app in 2024, our suggestion is that patrons put a shortcut to the catalog on their device. RSA staff has activated a mobile friendly version of the catalog page for each RSA member library.
The link for your library’s catalog can be found here on this list: https://support.librariesofrsa.org/project/rsacat-link/
For Apple devices, a shortcut can be saved by following these instruction
Look for the “Share” icon in the bottom bar on the page, next to the forward and back buttons
With the share menu open, look for an option called “Add to Home screen” and tap it
A box called “Add to Home screen” will appear
A new icon will appear on your device’s screen; you can move it around using the standard home screen press & drag options, or leave it where it is
Tap the icon at any time to launch the mobile website.
For Android devices
Look for a three-dot Settings icon in the top-right of the page
With Settings open, look for an option called “Add to Home screen” and tap it
A box called “Add to Home screen” will appear
A new icon will appear on your device’s screen; you can move it around using the standard home screen press & drag options, or leave it where it is
Tap the icon at any time to launch the mobile website.
